They had been friends for a while before getting together. They had a somewhat rocky relationship and eventually separated in 2011, before finalizing their divorce in 2014.
At the time, she told Oprah Winfrey in an interview, “Once I got divorced, I had to re-examine my whole life, because I waited to have kids, I had children at 38, because I never wanted not to be with the person I was with and had children with.
She continued: “I just felt like when we got divorced, it was the worst time of my life, I felt like I had failed miserably and I wasn’t going to give my children what they needed.”
Since their divorce, Anthony and Lopez have become friends again and seem to have a healthy co-parenting relationship. Lopez has since reconciled with Affleck and they are now engaged and looking for new homes to live with their blended family in California.
