Renowned celebrity life coach and podcaster Jay Shetty is set to officiate Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s wedding in Georgia this weekend, Page Six has learned.
It looks like Shetty — who’s hosted a ton of stars including Kobe Bryant, Will Smith and Gwyneth Paltrow on her ‘On Purpose’ podcast — has been close with the superstar singer for a few years.
Lopez also appeared on the show, and she invited him to officiate four weddings she orchestrated as part of a publicity stunt for her latest film, “Marry Me,” in February.
The British spiritual star, who is a former Hindu monk and Accenture strategist, also celebrated the wedding of Lily Collins and director Charlie McDowell in Colorado last September.
When she appeared on her YouTube series, “Coach Conversations,” last summer, Lopez opened up about her relationship struggles over the years.
She said that when she was in therapy in her thirties, “there was [was] we talked a lot about loving yourself and I was like ‘I love myself!’ But obviously I was doing all these things in my personal relationship that didn’t seem to like me, but I didn’t even understand the concept of it. She added: “I took time off and it’s a journey and it’s still a journey for me.”
Shetty is also the author of the best-selling “Think Like a Monk”.
To promote their romantic comedy, Lopez and Maluma performed a special concert in Los Angeles and had Shetty marry four couples on stage.
Shetty said on social media at the time: “When Jennifer Lopez asks you to officiate 4 weddings and talk about the power of love during her special ‘Marry Me’ performance, you say yes. What an amazing experience this was seeing 4 beautiful couples take their vows and having Jennifer Lopez and Maluma as wedding singers! Their stories and journeys brought tears to everyone’s eyes and I’m so grateful to have been able to be a part of it .
