Jennifer Lawrence had a low-key, sparkly romance at the 13th Annual Governors Awards.
Arriving at the Fairmont Century Plaza for the occasion, the Oscar-winning actress posed in a long black dress. Her Dior ensemble, from the brand’s Spring 2023 collection, featured a sleeveless silhouette with a curved neckline and a ruffled skirt. Giving the vaporous room extra elegance was all-over embroidery in varying sizes, mimicking ancient tapestries from its stars, leaves and blooming flowers in dusty pink hues. Lawrence’s Kate Young-style outfit was completed with gold Monica Vinader earrings and a shiny gold Pandora ring.
As for shoes, the ‘Hunger Games’ star’s shoes couldn’t be seen under her long skirt. However, it’s highly likely that she donned a set of black ballet flats or pumps to coordinate with the ensemble — two styles that have frequently appeared in Dior’s runway shows over the years, as well as the ones Lawrence usually wears.
The Governors Awards honor long-time talent in the film industry and serve as a campaign for Oscar nominees. This year’s ceremony, hosted by the Academy at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, was hosted by Mindy Kaling. The evening awarded honorary Oscars to Euzhan Palcy, Diane Warren and Peter Weir, as well as the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Michael J. Fox. The occasion also brought together many stars, including Cher, Margot Robbie, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Lawrence, Florence Pugh, Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett, Brendan Fraser and Tom Hanks.
