Look, we’ll be the first to admit that we’ve zoned our fair share of Zoom calls to text back or do a quick Insta scroll. But we hope we did it a little more quietly than Jennifer Lawrence and Ariana Grande.
The two stars took part in a long virtual interview for their hit Netflix film Don’t look up when their eyes started drifting to their cell phones.
Watch an excerpt from the interview here:
While actors like Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep were busy discussing the making of Don’t look up, JLaw and Ariana have definitely broken up at least once or twice – although for a 45 minute interview, can you blame them?
Both actresses would have gotten away with it without their eagle-eyed fans, too.
While analyzing the interview, viewers couldn’t help but notice Jen and Ari’s eyes lowering from time to time, trying to suppress their laughter.
Sure, chances are the couple are texting different people, but we’d like to live in a world where they’re best friends and secretly text each other during work calls. And it seems fans agree!
While watching a clip of the interview, one viewer commented, “The friendship I didn’t know I needed.”
“Me and my best friend from work are texting during staff meetings,” another wrote.
Some fans guessed that while Jen and Ari were texting each other, they were probably having conversations they preferred to keep private.
“They were definitely talking shit 😂” wrote one fan.
Another commented: ‘Probably talking lol’
Whatever they were talking about, we can all relate to it after nearly two full years of Zoom calls.
One amused viewer commented, “I ask my friend during the lecture what’s going on.”
Another wrote: ‘literally me and my friends on the first lockdown.
Fingers crossed we see more of this friendship in 2022 – let’s be honest, it would be iconic.
