And on Thursday morning, Jennifer Aniston teased getting her hair cut with her longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan, who actually gave the star the now infamous haircut called The Rachel.
The 51-year-old actress and her hairstylist both had shocked looks on their faces for the Instagram story photo as Chris held the scissors over her long, silky tresses.

Jennifer’s signature caramel-highlighted brown locks were loose around her, Chris holding a large chunk by his scissors, as if he was about to cut a lot.
She tagged it on the image but didn’t provide any clues about the end result.
Rachel made her debut in what is now known as the Rachel Haircut on April 6, 1995 in the Friends episode titled The One With the Evil Orthodontist.
At the time, Chris wanted to give her a haircut that would suit her Friends character Rachel Green, according to CR Fashionbook.
Rachel is a spoiled, naïve twenties who just moved to New York City, so Chris does her hair multi-lengths with lots of layers using a razor instead of scissors.

He also added layers in the front to complete the look, using a round brush and a blow dryer for even more volume.
Jennifer also had brown braids with several blonde highlights for the now signature.
The haircut and color became an instant hit around the world with millions of people imitating the look and asking for it at the barbershop.
In fact, it didn’t last long like Rachel’s hairstyle, as it was only seen on her character until The Once Where Eddie Won’t Go – Season 2 Episode 19, which aired on March 28. 1996.

Jennifer opted to keep her locks a darker tone currently with just a touch of golden caramel highlights.
