Jana Kramer has filed for divorce from Mike Caussin after six years of marriage.
The country music star took to her Instagram on Wednesday to address the split, revealing that she was trying to “make sense of a reality that I never wanted to believe might be possible again”.
“I fought you,” Kramer, 37, wrote. “I liked it a lot. I forgave. I did the job. I gave everything I have, and now I have nothing more to give.”
Although Kramer said she still “wholeheartedly believes in marriage, love and rebuilding,” she added that she “can’t fight anymore”.
“It’s time to heal,” she continued. “Thank you for all the love, heart and support that you have fought in so many ways on this journey by my side, and I am grateful to you. I always encourage you to keep up the good fight, but you cannot fight alone. “
USA TODAY has contacted representatives for Kramer for further comment.
Kramer and Caussin married in 2015 and share two children: Jolie, 5, and Jace, 2. The 34-year-old former NFL player has a history of infidelity; in 2016, the couple split after it was revealed that Caussin had cheated on Kramer. The two later reconciled and said they were working on their marriage.
