Jake Paul reveals he told Canelo’s lawyers about a fight and trained with the Mexican’s sparring partners

Jake Paul refuses to give up on his dream of fighting Canelo Alvarez and now he has even started talks with the Mexican’s lawyers.

That being said, Paul has yet to fight a professional boxer, but that hasn’t stopped him from calling and even opening talks with one of the best boxers on the planet, Canelo.

“We spoke to his lawyer and I think he’s getting to a point where he sees how serious I am,” Paul told Anthony Pompliano in an interview while discussing a potential future fight with Canelo.

“I think at first everyone thought it was a joke and my mouth was bigger than my actions, but now they match, especially if a fight is a year or two away.

“I fight people who were in both of their training camps for the trilogy. I fight Golovkin’s sparring partners, I fight Canelo’s sparring partners.

“[Ron] Ellis, all these guys and I are training people from both sides. They came to my camps.

“I think the fight with Canelo would be an entertainment show. I don’t think anyone got into Canelo’s head and I feel like I can.

“I think it’s an iconic fight to fight and it would shut down the internet.

“I think he thinks he can yell at me and that I’m just a YouTuber kid.”

While this fight may sound like a fantasy, it’s actually not entirely outside the realm of possibility, as Canelo has previously entertained the idea of ​​a potential future clash with Paul.

Ahead of the Mexican’s loss to Dmitry Bivol earlier this year, Canelo was asked about a fight against Paul.

He replied, “The thing I’m thinking about is why are you asking me about this fight mostly?

“Jake Paul, please guys. Maybe in two years, as he says, maybe in two years, we can talk.

Canelo was then asked if Paul was crazy to call a fight with him and he replied, “No, he’s not crazy.

“It’s not crazy, it’s good to dream of something. You need to set goals. Its good.”
