Jake Paul has fallen under Floyd Mayweather’s skin like no one has since Conor McGregor managed to do it.
The YouTuber stole the boxer’s hat at a press conference, sparking a brawl, and continued to poke fun at Mayweather overnight with a new tattoo, the change in the Twitter bio, and even a range of clothing.
The 24-year-old isn’t even fighting the 50-0 legend, his brother Logan will meet him in the ring on June 6.
Things heated up at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, but things got out of hand when Jake clashed with the boxer and pissed him off, just like McGregor did before their fight for money in 2017.
The event was Logan and Mayweather’s first showdown, but it was younger brother Paul who decided to jump into the action, freshly knocking out Ben Askren last month.
The YouTuber grabbed the legendary pound-for-pound hat and attempted to run away with it before being briefly choked by the boxer when the brawl broke out.
Punches were thrown amid the chaos, with Paul later sporting a black eye in a social media post.
It did nothing to quench the YouTuber’s thirst to wind up Mayweather and he had no regrets about stealing the hat.
In one video he said: “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have acted this way … you can suck my nuts – just kidding!”
Paul then posted a video of himself getting a tattoo: “Gotcha hat.”
He also changed his Twitter bio so that his name was “ Gotcha hat ” as well, while also offering t-shirts, hats and hoodies with that tagline.
