Jake Gyllenhaal seems to have forgotten that he had worked with Dennis Quaid nearly twenty tears earlier on the 2004 film, The Day After Tomorrow, during a recent Yahoo Entertainment interview.
The Nightcrawler actor, 41, and The Parent Trap star, 68, both play the roles of father and son in Disney’s latest animation titled, Strange World, which hit theaters on Wednesday.
However, the talented duo had played father and son years ago in the hit disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich, which was reminiscent of Jake.

During a joint interview with Yahoo Entertainment to promote their latest Disney film, Strange World, the interviewer mentioned a throwback to when the two stars had worked together in the past.
“You and Jake obviously played father and son on The Day After Tomorrow,” the reporter began to explain.
The Southpaw actor immediately sat up and turned in confusion to face Dennis, suddenly asking him, “We did it?”
The Far From Heaven star looked at Jake and after a brief pause, he quickly nodded in response to the question.

Strange World officially hit theaters ahead of the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

According to the publication, the Disney animation is expected to gross $24 million in total over the five-day weekend, although its budget is between $135 million and $180 million.
On the film’s opening day alone, November 23, the film earned an estimated $4.2 million, although box office expectations for the opening weekend were expected to reach around $40 million.
