Before 2017, Jaguar was the British automaker famous for its luxury sedans and coupes. But then he introduced the F-Pace, his first crossover SUV, and it quickly became the brand’s best-selling vehicle. Far from being obsolete, Jaguar is already preparing to update the style of the F-Pace inside and out with an update mid-cycle. The usual F-Pace should benefit from a multitude of upgrades, just like the more efficient and sporty Jaguar F-Pace SVR, which our spy photographers captured in cold weather with a non-SVR F-Pace.
It took two years after the arrival of the regular F-Pace for the SVR model to go on sale. However, this delay does not prevent Jaguar from giving the SVR a facelift. The spy photos show the SVR with camouflage of the beltline down, hiding the usual repertoire of mid-cycle updates. However, the camouflage couldn’t hide the revealing aesthetic of the SVR – the quadruple tailpipes, red calipers and larger front air intakes.
The SVR should receive the same visual updates as its less powerful stable companions. This means that customers should expect modified front and rear designs – updated grille, headlights, bumpers and rear lights. Inside, Jaguar could give the interior a significant upgrade, just as it did with the updated F-Type, replacing the analog instrument cluster with a digital one and adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment. Jaguar may also allow live software updates.
The SVR’s 5.0-liter supercharged V8 should not change. It is expected to continue producing 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts) and 502 pound-feet (680 Newton meters) of torque. If anything, horsepower and torque can increase by a few inches. Power will likely continue to go through an eight-speed four-wheel automatic. Current F-Pace SVRs fire 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds. Don’t expect the refresh to be slower.

The updated SVR will join the Tamer team of F-Pace versions which is expected to arrive later this year. The spy photos of the F-Pace SVR also showed a regular F-Pace exit test, although it is also hidden under camouflage. The updated F-Pace is expected to go on sale as a 2021 model year vehicle.
