Adrien Rabiot delighted with stay at Juventus after failed summer move to Manchester United
Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is delighted to have stayed in Italy after a failed deal with Manchester United in the summer of 2022. The France international has the opportunity to move to the Premier League.
A deal for the 27-year-old didn’t materialise. However, that hasn’t turned out to be a bad thing as he has been in fine form for the Old Lady in the current campaign.
Speaking to La Gazzetta via the transfer guru Fabrice Romano on Twitter On the collapsed deal with the Old Trafford side in August, Rabiot revealed that staying with the Bianconeri was the ‘best choice’. And the midfielder is not worried about his future.
“It’s true, I had the chance to try the experience of the Premier League; but staying at Juventus was the best choice.
“I don’t think about the future, I’m not in a hurry with my contract [expiring in 2023].”
The French international joined Juventus in the summer of 2019 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. He spent seven years with the Parisians and enjoyed success with the Ligue 1 giants.
In Turin, Rabiot was an important member of the Bianconeri’s starting line-up. However, the Old Lady has struggled to compete in recent years.
Massimilano Allegri has been under constant pressure in the current campaign. The Old Lady failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages this season and dropped out in the Europa League.

In Serie A, the Italian giants have also struggled. But Rabiot has been a consistent performer for them in the current campaign. The 27-year-old was one of their best performers during their disappointing spell.
The midfielder is also expected to represent France at the World Cup. He is part of Didier Deschmaps’ team which will fly to Qatar and take part in the prestigious tournament which will take place in the Middle East.

While Rabiot is a decent player, United had already bolstered their engine room during the recent transfer window with the addition of Christian Eriksen. Thus, some fans felt that signing someone like Casemiro for the number six position was the best option.
