Italian model Fabio Lanzoni leaves Morning Show host Kylie Gillies outraged as he says Australian women ‘are more domesticated’
Morning show host Kylie Gillies was visibly offended when model Fabio Lanzoni, known as the king of ’90s romance covers, shared his controversial views on Australian women.
The host, 53, looked shocked when Fabio said he wanted to marry an Aussie because “ they’re more domesticated ” than Americans and Europeans.
The 61-year-old made the odd admission after Kylie’s co-host Larry Emdur asked him: ‘We understand you’re single. Is it correct?’

“Yes, and in fact, I come to Australia because she is famous for the deadliest snake but also the most beautiful women in the world,” replied Fabio.
He then raised his eyebrows, describing Australian women as “domesticated.”

“You are real women,” explained the aging Italian-American heartbeat.

Fabio was one of the world’s most famous male models in the 1980s and 1990s, and is perhaps best remembered for adorning the romance romance covers ripping the bodice.
He has appeared as an endearing alpha male on books such as Gentle Rogue, Viking, Pirate, and Comanche, and signed copies of these books sell for hundreds at auction.
A shocked Kylie replied, “What do you mean, ‘domesticated’? You don’t expect us to be in the kitchen with an apron on, that’s not what you mean by domesticated, is it?
