Bed Bath & Beyond is definitely closing other stores.
Another 37 stores in 19 states will close, most by the end of February, Bed Bath & Beyond told USA TODAY. The locations are currently undergoing a Store Closing Clearance Sale.
The company’s confirmation precedes the expected release of the retailer’s quarterly results on Thursday morning, where officials will provide a business update.
The New Jersey-based home goods retailer – which also operates Buybuy Baby and Harmon Face Values - announced in July 2020 that the company would close 200 of its namesake stores over two years, representing 21% of its stores Bed Bath & Beyond.

Retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond, also announced a series of store closings in January. Macy’s shared its latest list of upcoming closings on Wednesday and Bed Bath & Beyond also announced closures last January and January 2020.
The homeware retailer has launched more own brands as part of its transformation plan. It started last March with bedding and bath brand Nestwell.
Bed Bath & Beyond 2022 Store Closure List
In this latest round of Bed Bath closures, New York will lose seven stores, five California stores will close and four locations in Washington state. Arizona, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Texas will each lose two stores.
Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia each lose one store.
The list of closing dates was not available. The San Angelo Standard-Times, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported that the San Angelo, Texas store will close on January 23.
The New York-based Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, which is also part of the USA TODAY Network, announced that the Canandaigua store would close “in the next few months.”
