Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have been open about their journey to peaceful co-parenting of their children. Despite their 14-year relationship ending in May 2020, the two have the utmost respect for each other and the time they share with their children.
After the divorce, the two have incredibly busy schedules. The ex-couple share custody of their three children, Noah Shannon Green, Bodhi Ransom Green and their youngest Journey River Green. Their hectic schedules made this a bit difficult, but the couple learned to work around them. The couple are also incredibly protective of their children, rarely posting pictures of them. With both parents apparently still working, it begs the question, is their youngest son, Journey, spending more time with his mother Megan Fox or his father Brian Green?
Who does Journey River Green spend the most time with, Megan Fox or Brian Austin Green?
It looks like Journey River Green is spending so much time with Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. The parents have done their best to shield their children from any negativity that may arise from the breakup. They also have no resentment towards each other.
“Neither of us have done anything to each other,” Brian said during an episode of his podcast. “She’s always been honest with me and I’ve always been honest with her. And I know that she will always love me and I know that as a family what we’ve built is really cool and really special. So we decided to make sure we didn’t lose that, that no matter what, we’re still friends with each other and we form a united front with the kids,” Brian explained.
Brian and his partner Sharna Burgess welcomed a son, Zane, in June 2022. Brian said his three children with Megan, including Journey, are obsessed with their new baby brother. He shared that Megan has done nothing but support their growing family. When asked if he thought his newborn had given his ex-baby a fever, he joked that his son would give anyone a fever. “She thought he was the cutest thing. I like this. And she always asks about the kids and about him, like how he’s doing,” he said of Megan.
Megan moved her whole family because she felt Journey River Green wanted them to move
Megan Fox shared that her family moved after Journey was born because she felt the baby wanted them to move. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Megan said: “I feel like you get messages from the kid if you’re open to it. Like that example, this baby wanted me to live somewhere else, so we’re moving to a whole different place in LA because I feel like that’s where this baby wants to be raised.”
Megan posted a preview of baby Journey on her Instagram a few months after giving birth and has showcased her in pictures with her brothers over the years. One of the cutest moments fans saw with Journey was when he made a surprise appearance in Megan’s interview with the Today Show. She was shooting the interview at home and Journey sneakily slipped into the shot. It seems like he really is a free spirit.
People didn’t know who Journey’s father was, originally, because Brian and Megan were supposed to have broken up. However, the pair had reconciled behind closed doors and tried to make things work. Despite their best efforts, the two ended up happier apart. During an episode of his podcast, Brian explained that the distance between the two actors became “palpable” after Megan returned from a five-week shoot.
Since their split, Megan has become the face of PDA with her now-fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. The two are knowingly obsessed with each other, with Megan even once commenting on Machine Gun Kelly’s “kill me or get me pregnant” Instagram post.
Machine Gun Kelly has apparently admitted the couple suffered a miscarriage after devoting a line of their live performance to their “unborn child”. Although the couple never confirmed or denied the rumor, fans were quick to offer their sympathy to the two artists.
Megan Fox is raising her three sons in a gender-neutral environment
While Megan and Brian rarely share photos of their sons, the ones they shared featured the three long-haired boys. Their hairstyles sparked questions about the gender of the children from the public. When Noah was photographed wearing a dress, she received a lot of hate from the public. But rather than changing her parenting style to suit audiences’ needs, Megan chose to speak about the importance of letting kids be who they’re meant to be.
“When I got pregnant with Noah, I could sense, through my mum’s intuition I guess, that he didn’t subscribe to gender stereotypes, so I decided to provide him with an environment early on. would let him discover how he wanted to express himself,” Megan said in an interview with Glamor UK.
She further explained that she lets her children choose what they play with, regardless of the “gender” associated with the toy. “If a boy likes princesses and a girl likes baseball, that’s not indicative of their sexuality. It’s indicative of their communication and creative expression. We can’t limit children by telling them how they have to perform,” Megan told Glamor UK.
Megan isn’t the only parent talking about raising her kids without gender stereotypes. Dax Shepard asked Brian Austin Green if he was bothered by other people’s comments about their children during an interview, to which Brian’s confidentiality replied no. Speaking specifically about his son Noah, he said: “I’ve heard from some people that they disagree with him wearing dresses. I tell them I don’t care. He is 4 years old and if he wants to wear it, he wears it.
He doubled down on his support for his children’s freedom of expression, saying, “It’s his life, it’s not my clothes. I feel like at 4 to 5 is a time when he should have fun. It does no harm to anyone wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, good for him.”
