David Beckham was enthused by LAFC fans as he watched his Inter Miami team slide to defeat

Former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela continued his incredible streak in the United States by throwing a bold chip on Inter Miami captain Luis Robles to seal a 1-0 victory.

Before kick-off, Beckham received a rather lukewarm welcome in the world of “football” from LAFC fans when he settled alone in the director’s dressing room.

The former Manchester United midfielder was adorned with a catchy rendition of “you look alone” by local supporters while sitting alone.

Always the right sport, ‘Becks’ just smiled and shrugged as he sang the songs in a good mood, then he was joined by his wife Victoria and a host of A-list friends, including Gordon Ramsay and Eva Longoria.

300 dedicated fans traveled the 4,000 miles across the country to watch their new team slide to defeat, Beckham going to Instagram to thank them for their incredible loyalty.

He wrote: “A very proud moment for our club today and the team made us proud … It was a long journey but it is only the beginning …

“For Diego (The Boss), the team and all of our staff at Inter Miami, we should be very proud of the progress we have made and what the future holds … Exciting times ahead. “
