Inter are currently performing better than their 2021-22 budget predicted for qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League, according to an article in Italian media.
As has been reported by The Gazzetta dello Sport, the 2021-22 inter budget was drawn up taking into account participation in the group stages as well as a race to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
This budget also worked on the basis that stadium capacities would remain at 50%, but they have been running at 75% for a few weeks now.
This means Inter are exceeding their financial targets for the season so far in part thanks to the team’s work on the pitch.
All in all, qualifying for the round of 16 would represent over € 60million for the Nerazzurri, which is hugely beneficial in helping the club keep their financial situation under control, at least for now.
