It was previously claimed that Kylie was due to tour Australia this year, but the singer is yet to confirm whether she will take the stage in her homeland in 2024 after her planned concert was cancelled.

On Friday, Kylie took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she will be headlining Electric Picnic in Stradbally, County Laois on August 18.

Kylie will take to the stage on the final day of the festival alongside fellow headliner, BRIT Award-winning singer Raye.

Also on the lineup for this year’s festival, which has been running since 2004, are Calvin Harris, Noah Kahan, Kodaline and Gerry Cinnamon.

Her exciting announcement came just a day after Kylie confirmed she would headline one of Europe’s biggest music festivals this summer.

The Australian sensation has announced that she will headline the opening night of the Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday, August 7.

She wrote next to a poster confirming the news: “Sziget, are you ready to do PADAM with me in August?!!!”

Fans were sent into a frenzy in the comments section as they gushed: “Yass, we’re ready!” » ; ‘Oh! Fantastic’; “I will be yours, whatever happens”; “Finally, @kylieminogue waited 20 years for you to come!”

The Sziget Festival is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and takes place every year on Óbudai-sziget, also known as Hajógyári, a 108-hectare island on the Danube.

Each year, more than 1,000 shows take place across 60 stages and Kylie will perform alongside Tom Odell and Dom Dolla on opening night.

Kylie has packed her summer 2024 schedule with epic performances amid her huge success as she will also make an appearance in London.

The Tension hitmaker will take to the stage at the hugely popular BST Hyde Park on July 13 for her first appearance at the event in nine years.

Kylie was quick to react to the shocking news by taking Xformerly known as Twitter, to share his devastation and promised to return to Australia soon.

She wrote: “SITG this must have been a tough decision,” alongside a crying emoji.

“I was so looking forward to being there and for us all to have the best time possible. Oz, I’m looking forward to being home and playing shows for you more than ever.

NYE In The Park and Tent Pole Music Festival were also canceled this year due to issues including poor ticket sales and the economic climate.

Kylie has yet to confirm whether she will return to the stage Down Under for another performance following the sudden cancellation of Splendor In The Grass.
