Samsung will not be exhibiting at ISE 2021 in Barcelona in June as the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc on exhibits and events.
A trusted source within Samsung revealed to Inavate that health considerations and transportation issues prevented the company from participating as planned.
The display giant has traditionally had a significant presence at the show, occupying an entire room within the RAI Amsterdam. It had continued its substantial investments in its participation in Fira de Barcelona and its cancellation leaves a gap of almost 1,000 m2 in the ISE 2021 floor plan.
At present, ISE is suing the Barcelona show but has announced that it will support its exhibitors, removing all fees on canceled or reduced stands by March 5. a significantly lower representation in Spain compared to previous ISE events. ISE organizers hope to back this up with an online program and a series of small local events across Europe.
