Mike Tyson has taken aim at the Hulu streaming service over their upcoming new series about his life.
In June, Hulu released a preview of the eight-episode show that was made without Tyson’s participation and is set to air on August 25.
When this series was originally announced in early 2021, Tyson made a public statement slamming it.
His statement at the time read, “Hulu’s announcement to make an unauthorized miniseries of Tyson’s story without compensation, while unfortunate, is not surprising.
“This announcement on the heels of social disparities in our country is a great example of how Hulu’s corporate greed has led to this tone-deaf cultural hijacking of Tyson’s life story.”
Now, 18 months later, with the series airing and the trailer released, Tyson has spoken again.
He tweeted on Saturday: “Hulu desperately tried to pay my brother Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master taking over my life.
“He declined because he honors friendship and treats people with dignity.
“I will never forget what he did for me, just like I will never forget what Hulu stole from me.”
A second tweet read, “Hulu stole my story. They are Goliath and I am David. Heads will roll for this.
He then went on to explode, “Hey Hulu I’m not an****r you can auction off #SlaveryIsOver #FuckHulu.
“Hulu’s model of stealing the life rights of celebrities is extremely greedy #HeadsWillRoll.”
