He revealed that she was very supportive of his involvement in the series. “She’s very supportive of us. We’re both supportive,” Bloom said during an interview with TODAY on April 18.
However, Perry’s attitude changed after seeing the harmful consequences of these stunts. At first, she assured him that everything would be fine, reminding him of the show’s insurance and safety precautions. But after returning from filming, she saw the tension on his face and started to worry. Bloom shared that her reaction turned to worry, asking if he was okay and if they were still in good shape.
“She said to me, ‘Listen, there’s insurance.’ It’s for a show…’ But I didn’t necessarily – I think it wasn’t until I was coming home and she saw me, the look on my face and the feeling that I felt, where because I think that during , of course, measures were taken to ensure my safety – and I would not recommend anyone to do this at home, by the way, unless they have absolute experts with you,” he said.
He continued: “I would say she was just like, ‘I think everything’s going to be okay until she sees me, and then she was like, ‘Are you okay?’ Are we okay?’
Bloom admitted that there were times during filming where he questioned his own safety. “I really thought, ‘Oh, my life is really in my hands if I don’t do this right,'” he said.
Despite the risks involved, Katy Perry continued to support her fiancé.
