The name Trevor Holmes may sound familiar to you if you’re a fan of American idol. That’s because Katy Perry had a huge crush on him when he auditioned for season 16. Now Trevor is looking for love in the new ABC series The Bachelor presents: listen to your heart.
Katy Perry thought Trevor Holmes was “so hot”
When he entered the judgment room for his American Idol Hearing, Katy immediately declared that Trevor was “so sexy”. Trevor said he had a crush on Katy. It seemed that they were both in each other. There was only one problem, he had a girlfriend, Sierra, at the time. It became a “love triangle” as he called them three. Katy joked about Trevor’s performance during Hollywood week and even had a hilarious staredown with Trevor’s girlfriend. How awkward!
In the end, Trevor failed to make it to the live shows and was sent to pack. Ironically, Katy is the one who gave her the news. She felt like he lacked radiance during his performances, the same radiance that she had seen in his eyes. “I was able to sing in front of the world and it was an incredible exhibition, so I literally have nothing wrong to say about it,” he said in an interview with TMZ speaking of his time on ‘ Idol ‘. Trevor said he was also grateful to Katy because she cast him in the public eye. There is clearly no grudge here between the two musical talents.
Trevor and his girlfriend have not worked, which is why he is going to the manor “The Bachelor”
One thing we do know is that even though his girlfriend seemed supportive and in love, Trevor and Sierra are no longer together. Now he’s headed for the infamous Bachelor mansion to showcase his musical talents and maybe even find love.

We can also see that Trevor may have found love because there is a short clip of him during a date with one of the girls and that he even kisses her. There are 23 single girls and boys who enter the mansion not only to find love but also to make musical journeys together. They will perform together every week and will be judged by certain favorites of the franchise as well as by famous musicians. Ultimately, a couple will be crowned the winner after showing their love and dedication through music.

Trevor may have been in another love triangle
In the trailer for this new show, Trevor is interviewed by a woman who asks if he cheated on her or not. He admits that there was some emotional cheating. This seems to lead to a lot of tears and drama with Trevor at the center of it all. And while Trevor finds himself as the source of a relationship drama, Katy is now happily engaged to actor Orlando Bloom. They are expecting a baby girl in early summer. Things have certainly come full circle!
Trevor posted the following Instagram post. He hopes the show “will provide temporary emotional relief” with everything that is going on in the world as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. He called the show a “new chapter”.
