She does nothing better than get revenge.
Taylor Swift released her 10th studio album, ‘Midnights’, last week, and fans are analyzing each song’s lyrics to try to figure out who they might be talking about.
A woman on TikTok who claims she went to high school with the 32-year-old artist confirms what fans know to be true – “Everything Ms. Swift does is intentional.”
“I went to the same high school as Taylor Swift, we grew up in the same town,” Jessica McLane said in her TikTok video, echoing all the conspiracy theory talk among the Swifties.
The Post has reached out to Swift’s representatives for comment.
The TikToker began by saying that she wanted to offer a “general apology” for not knowing much about the singer even though they went to Hendersonville High School in Tennessee, and admitted that she “just entered in Taylor Swift”.
“In 2006, I was a freshman in high school. Taylor is I think a junior. “Teardrops on my Guitar” had just come out I think over the summer. Obviously, she got really big, and that was the year she left school and was homeschooled.
McLane alleged that when Swift started to become “super successful”, most of her classmates “hated her”.
She clarified that the people who “hated” her were peers, not random people on the internet.
“She was literally 16, 17, leaving high school to pursue a career that people told her she could never have,” McLane continued.
“Also, the guys she was writing these songs about, they were still in school. They were still there. And now they have a hit song about them that talks about what a boyfriend they are,” she laughed.
McLane explained that people were spreading rumors about how Swift got her start in music, saying she bought her fame.

“But the fact remains that there weren’t many people in high school who had nice things to say about her,” she said.
In a follow-up video, McLane says “jealousy was definitely a thing” when it came to why people disliked the pop star.
She explained that because of their proximity to Nashville, everyone knew someone in the music industry or someone trying to break into the industry, and young people trying to make a career in music were playing in downtown Nashville or local cafes – not getting famous, award-winning awards.
When a commenter pointed out that McLane had not provided any receipts for her claims, she posted a video showing her yearbooks.
She gave followers a preview of her 2006-2007 Henderson High School yearbook from what would have been her junior year, as well as her 2009-2010 yearbook which would have been her senior year – the year she went to the CMA.
McLane explains that the reason she didn’t show Swift in the yearbook is because the then-famous star started homeschooling and dropped out before picture day. However, she posted another video showing that she had indeed found the rising pop star in a photo collage.
McLane did not give details when contacted by The Post, but stood by the claims made in her TikTok. She added that although she “didn’t know her personally”, she “was friends with people in her class who knew her” and “only saw her once at a choir after the school”.
Fast forward to 2009, when McLane was a senior in high school, and the “Fearless” singer invited the entire senior class to the 2009 Country Music Association Awards.
“When I found out we were leaving, we were all really excited. I mean, who is Taylor Swift’s guest at the CMAs. That’s really cool,” she shared. “But it was very random . For example, we didn’t know why Taylor Swift was inviting us to the CMAs.
“His performances were incredible,” added McLane.
McLane showed a booklet and his CMA post on TikTok as evidence to back up his claims.

That year at the CMAs, Swift broke history as the youngest artist to receive the Entertainer of the Year award at just 19 years old. She also won singer of the year, music video of the year for “Love Story” and album of the year for “Fearless.”
McLane then jumps forward: “It’s 2022, Taylor Swift announcing ‘Midnights,’ right?”
“It’s coming out on Kim Kardashian’s birthday. That’s when I started to realize that Taylor is a little b–ch,” she postulates with a smile.

She shares that she’s starting to learn about all the other subtle things Swift would have done to get revenge on those who wronged her over the years.
For example, Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood” is believed to be about her since-repaired fallout with Katy Perry. Fans will also be the first to admit that they believe a lot of his lyrics are plans for people who have hurt him. More recently, his song “Vigilante S–t” on the album “Midnights” is said to be about his former manager Scooter Braun, who infamously sold his masters for over $300 million, and his ex-wife Yael Cohen.
“Now she’s got the house, the kids, the pride / Picture me like thieves with your ex-wife / And she look so pretty driving your Benz / Lately she’s been dressing up for revenge” , sings Swift in the song, apparently referring to Braun buying a new house after his divorce.
McLane pointed out that Swift was planning years ahead — she waited three years to invite her high school classmates to an awards show.
“All of you, she invited us to the CMAs to say f–k you,” McLane said. “And we deserved it.”
“So to Taylor: hit, that was a good one.”
