Jurgen Klopp has shown he’s clearly not a fan of the top-knot hairstyle after he offered one of his Liverpool stars money to cut theirs.
The Reds manager is no stranger to jokes at press conferences, and a hilarious video making the rounds on social media shows he’s no different behind the scenes.
Liverpool are back in the Premier League this weekend, taking on Brighton at Anfield.
And footage from what appears to be the club’s training ground shows Klopp standing in the dressing room waiting for his players before preparing for Saturday’s game.
The video starts with the German looking at left-back Kostas Tsimikas – specifically his hair.
“How much money [do] you want [so] can i cut it? Klopp asks the star nicknamed ‘the Greek Scouser’.
Tsimikas takes his boss’s joke well and laughs.
Then, after failing to get any more response from him, Klopp continues with a big smile: “At first I thought Darwin [Nunez] Shrunk !”
A chorus of “aww” and other sympathetic comments emerge from the rest of the locker room, as Tsimikas continues to laugh and walks away.
Liverpool’s No.21 isn’t the only one in the Reds squad to have a top knot, as Klopp has pointed out.
£85million summer signing Darwin Nunez also dons the hairstyle and previously starlet Harvey Elliott too.
