Joe Rogan hosts one of the most popular podcasts
Rogan often invites MMA fighters on his show, but Rampage has never made an appearance despite being one of the biggest stars in the sport.
During a recent interview with Adam22 on the ‘No Jumper’ podcast, Jackson explained that he had a tense exchange with Rogan during his UFC fighting days and therefore was never invited on. “JRE”.
He said, “We had one thing. Joe and I have always been cool, haven’t we? But then, after a few fights in the UFC, he noticed that I wasn’t checking leg kicks and not throwing a lot of leg kicks.
“He got really energetic about it and with social media I got a lot of MMA fans talking about ‘Man, you don’t know how to kick, you don’t know how to check kicks. foot in the legs.’ And it just got boring, right?
“So, I took a step towards Joe. Like, ‘Joe, man, why are you saying all this bullshit about me not knowing how to kick and not checking for leg kicks?’
“We had a few words and stuff and I said something wrong. I got tired of people constantly talking shit about me.

He’s not a fan of Rogan’s UFC commentary
The 44-year-old has watched fights with the commentary turned off since and thinks everyone should do the same to get a clear picture of what’s really going on.
Rampage added, “I tell them, ‘Watch the UFC turn the volume down’.”
“It will be a different fight because of the color commentators. Do you know how it started? With radio. They would paint the picture of the fight for you.
“Joe can be a little biased sometimes, you know, against jiu-jitsu, guys. He likes jiu-jitsu guys and sometimes I’d watch the fight and kind of turn it down a bit then I get a different view of the fight.
Rampage hasn’t fought since suffering a first-round knockout loss to fellow MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 237 in December 2019.
However, he has yet to close the door on his MMA career and could be looking to add to his 38-14 record which includes 20 wins by knockout against some of the best fighters in the history of the sport.
