Anthony Yarde has told talkSPORT he would ‘love’ to fight Joshua Buatsi in the near future.
The light-heavyweight contender suffered the third defeat of his career as he was stopped by WBC, IBF and WBO world champion Artur Beterbiev late last month, but gained huge credit and saw its stock to increase despite everything.

The 31-year-old has received plenty of praise, despite losing to Beterbiev
Yarde exceeded expectations with his valiant performance in which he took on the fearsome Beterbiev and even hurt him before finally beating overpowered.
Reflecting on the fight a week later, Yarde told talkBOXING: “I’m still really comfortable.
“You can’t change the past. You will always have things going through your mind like “I should have done that”.
“But yeah, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. The result will be the result.
“My job is to do my due diligence during my training, making sure I’m doing everything I can.
“Obviously I’m still learning on the job because I’m late for work, but making sure I give it my all.
To make a joke
Yarde made a valiant effort, but Beterbiev was too strong
“And yes, I am happy with the result.
“I got a lot of great feedback, but in my mind I’m like, ‘Ah, I could have beat him.’
“That’s all on my mind, I’m like, ‘Actually, I could have beaten him.
“But other than that, I’m fine.”

Beterbiev stopped Yarde in the eighth round
Yarde will now undoubtedly take some time off, but is aiming for more big fights on his return.
The 31-year-old insisted he would like to face Beterbiev, before also naming Buatsi first in a list of other potential opponents.
“In terms of upcoming fights, put me back with Beterbiev,” Yarde said.
“I want a rematch, I want to get back into that mix. I’m looking forward to, I’m blossoming towards it. I don’t care who I fight.
