I regret not having bought them sooner.
A few summers ago, my super hip best friend from the West Coast came to visit me and was living in a pair of chic cutoff jeans. “They come from Agolde,” she said in her cool, knowledgeable girl tone. At the time, I was loyal to my pair of Levi’s 501s ordered on Amazon for around $40. Recently, I decided to splurge on the same pair as my friend, since I basically live in denim shorts during the summer months, and now I regret not doing it sooner.
ICYMI, Taylor Swift is a big fan of Agolde’s denim: she’s been spotted in the brand’s shorts several times over the years. In fact, she’s already worn them twice (that we know of) this year and has also worn long jeans from the brand. Tons of other celebrities also wear the brand, including Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, and Chrissy Teigen.
There are a few different versions (23, to be exact, according to the brand’s website) of the Agolde Parker shorts, as they come in different lengths and washes with different details (frayed edges, rolled and finished hems included). I opted for the OG version, shorter with a frayed hem. All are made from the brand’s signature “regenerative cotton,” a stiffer denim that maintains its shape wash after wash. There is no stretching.
