Ric Flair announced his return to the ring last week and now it looks like Hulk Hogan could follow suit.
But Hogan isn’t just making a coincidence return, he’s coming back to be Flair’s final opponent.
According to former WWE star Brian Blair, he says he “can’t wait” to see Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan at SummerSlam, which apparently means Starrcast V, which will host the indie wrestling event that will feature ” Ric Flair’s Last Match”.
The man who was one-half of The Killer Bees during a three-year stint in WWE in the late ’80s wants Flair and Hogan out unscathed.
“Well, I think if Ric were to die anywhere, he would want to die in the ring,” Blair began.
“Terry has had his fair share of surgeries, way too many and I’m getting ready to call Terry in a few minutes. I just wish them the best. I know the fans are the ones who really cheered him on and really want him. to see.
“So that triggered them. All I can say is it will be interesting and I just pray they both come out in one piece,” Blair hoped.
Flair is 73 and Hogan is 68. It’s hardly a good idea on any level for either man to get back in the ring, let alone with another person who’s been out of the ring for years and essentially a retiree.
Hogan last wrestled for TNA in a six-man match in 2012. His last singles match was against Sting at Bound for Glory in 2011.
Flair’s last match was also against Sting the same year, but a month before Hogan.
Both men are WWE Hall of Famers and true industry legends. Flair had the perfect retirement send off against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 while Hogan’s last WWE match was against Randy Orton at SummerSlam in 2006.
Starrcast V runs from July 29 to July 29, so we won’t have to wait long to find out.
