Huawei Watch Fit 3 leaks: borrowing a page from Apple’s playbook? -Telephone arena

Last week, Chinese tech giant Huawei introduced its latest flagship phone, the Pura 70 series, putting photography in the spotlight. But there’s more with the upcoming Watch Fit 3, and a recent leak has given us a glimpse of its design.

Famous leaker with a solid track record, Roland Quandt (via 9to5Mac), has revealed images of Huawei’s upcoming Watch Fit 3 on X.

The Watch Fit 3 stays true to the design language of its predecessor, the Watch Fit 2, with a rectangular shape. However, the new model adds an additional button: a rotating crown. It also features slightly thinner bezels and rounded corners and comes with a strap that connects without traditional lugs.

Huawei’s next smartwatch is expected to come in four different colors: silver, gold, black and pink. And as usual, Huawei will probably offer you the choice between silicone and leather straps.

Smartwatch designs vary a lot between brands, especially in the world of Wear OS. But Huawei’s next smartwatch appears to be moving even closer to Apple’s design than before. Sure, rectangular smartwatches tend to look the same, but with the new button, they start to look even more like an Apple Watch.

However, Huawei’s Watch Fit line prioritizes fitness tracking over smartwatch functions. It runs a stripped-down version of HarmonyOS, supporting some apps as well as fitness and sleep tracking features. It also manages your phone’s notifications and calls.

We don’t know when the Watch Fit 3 will debut, but it’s unlikely it will be officially sold in the US market.
