The HarmonyOS August 2022 update is making its way to the 10.4-inch Huawei MatePad tablet. The update comes to the old HarmonyOS version number 2.0.0.260 with a new version 2.0.0.265.
The new firmware version incorporates the August 2022 security patches. Thus improving the overall system security to protect it from malicious activities.
Other than security improvements, the August 2022 Update does not bring anything else for Huawei MatePad 10.4 users. But, you will surely get a smoother experience after installing the latest version.

- Huawei MatePad 10.4 inch (BAH3-W59)
A few days ago, Huawei rolled out the MatePad 10.4 Yuedong Edition August 2022 update. This edition is similar to the MatePad 10.4 tablet in terms of display and battery size.
While in terms of processor, the Yuedong edition processes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SM7325 chipset while the standard MatePad 10.4 tablet equips an octa-core Kirin 810 processor.
OK! back to the title, in particular, the new firmware includes fixes for a number of exploits at various levels of the system.
If you want to manually check for the latest update, go to your device settings, tap on Software Updates, then tap on the Download and Install button.
You can also opt for the other method to download the update. Install the new firmware from the update section of the My Huawei app by following the on-screen instructions.
Remember:
Before upgrading your device, make sure your tablet is unrooted. Maintain sufficient battery percentage and storage space to install the software update. Also, do not turn off the phone once the update process has started.
Due to the process of self-optimization and adaptation, your device may heat up, freeze or consume more power, but don’t panic because the device will return to the usual state after a few days.
Also, charge your tablet for two hours after installing an update.
