Huawei unveiled its new flagship series of smartphones, the Huawei Pura, on Monday April 15, which replaces the iconic P series. The Chinese smartphone brand shared a teaser on Weibo confirming the arrival of the Huawei Pura70 as the first phone in its new range. Like previous P-series flagships, the new Pura family will include several models. Huawei P series mobile phones were first introduced in 2012. Last year’s Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro and Huawei P60 Art are the latest entries in the P series.
Huawei CEO Richard Yu announced on Weibo that Huawei’s P series will be upgraded from Pura 70 to Pura. The company also announced the launch of the Huawei Pura 70 through a video, confirming that the phone will come with a new design and new features. The imaging capability of this teaser is indicated by the rectangular camera island of the game buttons. The pillars of the new series emphasize passion, purity, style, creativity and classicism.
The Huawei Pura 70 series is expected to include the Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+ and Pura 70 Ultra. However, there is no information regarding the official release date of the Pura series.
Huawei’s Ascend P1 was introduced in 2012 as the first smartphone model in the P series. Last year’s Huawei P60 series was the latest addition to the P generation, which included the vanilla Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro and Huawei P60 Art.
All three phones in the Huawei P60 series feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The Huawei P60 series includes a configuration of triple rear camera with a 13 megapixel selfie camera.
These offer new two-way satellite messaging capabilities, allowing users to send and receive messages directly over the satellite network. The Huawei P60 and P60 Pro are powered by a 4815 mAh battery. The Huawei P60 Art has a slightly larger 5,100 mAh battery.
