Huawei is rolling out an updated version of its MateBook D 14 2020 Intel Edition, which now comes with a faster Intel processor and improved features.
Powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete graphics card, the Windows 10 laptop comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory.
It is equipped with a 14-inch IPS display, with an almost bezel-less appearance thanks to its ultra-thin 4.8mm bezels. The screen is available in 1920 x 1080 resolution with 178 ° viewing angle for more comfortable use from different angles.
Another design element is its sleek metallic look, measuring just 15.9mm thick and weighing just 1.38kg.
Working on the go is also made easier by its 56 Wh battery, as this workhorse is said to run for 13 hours of daily office use on a single full charge.
Additionally, Huawei claims that its USB-C charger can recharge the laptop’s lithium polymer battery to almost 50% on a half-hour charge. The USB-C charger also doubles as charging most newer smartphones, eliminating the need for users to lug around a second charger.
As part of the Huawei ecosystem, the Matebook D 14 can mirror the screens of smartphones compatible with Huawei Share, which allows users to project a virtual version of their phone to the laptop. This feature allows users to instantly transfer files between the two devices just by dragging and dropping them, and even use the laptop to control the smartphone apps to perform various tasks such as responding to text messages, answer calls or play games.
