A report found that Huawei is looking to partner with Indus OS to access something called App Bazaar – an app store with more than 400,000 apps in India. With this decision, Huawei ensures that its phones can still be used without Google services in the country.

After launching its high-end phones in Europe equipped with its AppGallery application store based solely on Huawei mobile services, the company wants to secure users in the world’s second largest smartphone market. The Bazaar App is a popular market in the country, so if Huawei is able to reach an agreement with Indus OS, its phones will become much more usable in the region.

This is going to be an interesting mix, as Samsung already invested $ 5.75 million last year to get 20% stake in OSLabs – the company that manages Indus OS. So with Huawei being a little late for the party, it’s going to be interesting to see how it goes.

There is no solid confirmation on either side of the negotiation, so all this can only be speculation, keep that in mind.
