Huawei announced the first-generation Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone in February 2019 and it was made available for purchase in November of the same year. The Chinese manufacturer announced its updated version as the Huawei Mate Xs in February last year. The release pattern for previous models suggests the company may consider launching the rumored Huawei Mate X2 in the coming month. Yesterday the Mate X2 with model number TET-AN00 / TET-AN10 appeared on the Chinese certification platform TENAA. The list did not reveal any information about its specifications. However, a reliable tipster from China today shared all the specifications of the Mate X2.

The tipster claims that the engineering unit of the Huawei Mate X2 has dimensions of 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2 mm and weighs 295 grams. Several reports have revealed that the company will be ditching the outward folding design that was available on the Mate X and Mate Xs models. The new leak claims that the Huawei Mate X2 has an 8.01-inch inward foldable display that produces a resolution of 2480 x 220 pixels.
The front of the phone has a second screen that measures 6.45 inches. It offers a resolution of 2270 x 1160 pixels. The foldable phone has a 16 megapixel front camera.
A 50-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 8-megapixel quad-camera setup is available on the back of the Huawei Mate X2. The leak claims the foldable phone supports 10x hybrid optical zoom.
The flagship Kirin 9000 processor will power the Mate X2 with a 4,400mAh battery. It should arrive with support for 66W fast charging. It will come preinstalled with the Android 10 operating system.
