The former British spy who wrote the intelligence case that helped open the investigation into President Trump’s ties to Russia said he would have advised Huawei against entering the British 5G network.
Christopher Steele said that even if he did not think that the sharing of information between the United States and the United Kingdom would stop because of the decision, he would not have made the same decision as Boris Johnson, for allow Chinese telecommunications giants to play a role up to a ceiling of 35% on the 5G network.
