According to Deloitte’s Tech Trends 2020 report, the cloud has taken over the business with 90% of organizations now using cloud-based services.
Investment in this area is expected to explode, with the consulting firm expecting cloud investments to double as a percentage of the IT budget over the next three years. Forrester, meanwhile, forecasts that revenue from public cloud infrastructure, platforms and applications will reach a healthy CAGR of 21% between 2018 and 2022, reaching US $ 411 billion over the next two years. .
Huawei, the Chinese multinational technology firm, is betting heavily on cloud computing, an area which it believes will fuel future growth.
At the company’s annual global analyst summit in May, Huawei said it had pledged to invest US $ 200 million in its cloud and general purpose IT ecosystem this year to develop more opportunities for companies and developers.
Huawei’s continued investment in cloud computing will provide new tools and resources to 2 million developers worldwide, the company said.
Huawei Cloud also recently launched a new offering called Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS), specifically designed to provide cloud services to local data centers for governments and businesses. HCS offers three main features: unified management, data governance and application activation.
Huawei Cloud currently offers more than 210 cloud services in 23 categories and 190 industry-specific solutions. Its ecosystem has more than 10,000 consultant partners and 3,500 technology partners.
Leverage cloud computing to grow globally
Continuing its commitment to cloud computing, Huawei Cloud will host a digital summit on June 10 on how businesses can leverage the cloud to go global.
The virtual event, which will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (GMT + 8), is expected to bring together experts from more than 10 Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries and will be broadcast live in English and Chinese.
