Los Angeles @ Kansas City
Current records: Los Angeles 3-7; Kansas City 8-2
What there is to know
The Los Angeles Rams hit the road again on Sunday and will face the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET on Nov. 27 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. If the game looks like the Rams’ 54-51 win in their previous meeting in November 2018, the scorer will be very busy.
Los Angeles fell short against the New Orleans Saints last week, losing 27-20. Nobody had a standout game offensively for Los Angeles, but they got scores from WR Allen Robinson and WR Tutu Atwell. Matthew Stafford’s 62-yard touchdown down the left side of the field against Atwell in the first quarter was one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
Meanwhile, it was close, but last week Kansas City dodged the Los Angeles Chargers for a 30-27 win. Kansas City’s success was led by the efforts of TE Travis Kelce, who caught six passes for three touchdowns and 115 yards, and QB Patrick Mahomes, who had three touchdowns and 329 yards on 34 attempts. The Chiefs’ victory came on a 17-yard TD pass from Mahomes to Kelce with just 0:37 left in the fourth quarter.
Special teams had 12 points for Kansas City. K Harrison Butker scored three field goals, the longest 52 yards in the first quarter, which ultimately explained the difference in the contest.
The Rams need to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 15.5-point gap they face. Now might not be the best time to face Los Angeles against the spread, as they’ve let the bettors down for the past two games in a row.
Los Angeles is now 3-7 while the Chiefs are 8-2. A few offensive stats to keep in mind while watching: Los Angeles stumbles into the game with the second-fewest rushing yards per game in the league, averaging just 76.1. Kansas City’s offense has more to brag about, as they come into the game with 36 total offensive touchdowns, which is the best in the NFL. The cards are therefore definitely stacked in their favor.
