What there is to know

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t won a game against the Cleveland Browns since Dec. 29, 2019, but will look to end the drought on Monday. The Bengals and Cleveland will square off in an AFC North battle at 8:15 p.m. ET at FirstEnergy Stadium. Cincinnati should still feel good after a win, while the Browns look to right the ship.

Cincinnati ran in circles around the Atlanta Falcons last week, and the extra yardage (537 yards to 214 yards) paid off. Cincinnati passed Atlanta with points to spare, winning the game 35-17. The team racked up 28 points in the first half and relied on those for the win. QB Joe Burrow had a stellar game for the Bengals as he had three touchdowns and 481 yards on 42 attempts in addition to hitting a rushing touchdown. Near the top of the highlight reel was Burrow’s 60-yard TD bomb against WR Tyler Boyd in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for the Browns as they lost 23-20 to the Baltimore Ravens last week. A silver lining for Cleveland was the play of RB Nick Chubb, who hit a rushing touchdown.

This next game should be tight, with Cincinnati starting just 3 points behind. They might be worth a shot against the spread, as they’re currently on a five-game winning streak against the ATS.

The Bengals are now 4-3 while Cleveland is 2-5. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind heading into kickoff: Cincinnati enters the game with just three rushing touchdowns allowed, good for third-best in the NFL. On the other end of the spectrum, Cleveland is the worst in the league in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 13 on the season. So the cards are definitely stacked against Cleveland.
