Who plays

New Orleans @ Denver

Current records: New Orleans 8-2; Denver 4-6

What there is to know

The New Orleans Saints have enjoyed the comforts of home in their last two games, but now they have to hit the road. They will face the Denver Broncos at 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday at Empower Field in Mile High. New Orleans is entering the game hot, having won seven consecutive victories.

The Saints passed the Atlanta Falcons with points to lose last week, winning the game 24-9. New Orleans quarterback Taysom Hill did a job as he racked up 233 passing yards in addition to rushing for two touchdowns and 51 yards. Hill ended up with a 163.40 passer rating. Hill’s sharp performance put his single-game touchdown at a high level for the season.

The New Orleans defense was also a presence, as it embarrassed the Atlanta offensive line to sack quarterback Matt Ryan eight times for a total loss of 36 yards. In the lead, DE Cameron Jordan and his three sacks. Jordan now has five sacks in ten games.

Meanwhile, when you finish with 236 yards more than your opponent like Denver did last week, a favorable result is almost sure to call. They won against the Miami Dolphins by a score of 20-13. Among those leading the charge for Denver was RB Melvin Gordon, who had two rushing touchdowns. Gordon’s performance made up for slower competition against the Las Vegas Raiders two weeks ago.

The Saints are the favorites in this one, with an expected margin of victory of 6 points. They might be worth taking a shot at ATS as they’re currently on a three-game ATS winning streak.

New Orleans are now 8-2 while the Broncos are 4-6. Two numbers to keep in mind before kick-off: New Orleans sits second in the league when it comes to steals thrown, with just three over the season. On the other end of the spectrum, Denver is the worst in the NFL in terms of interceptions thrown, having thrown 17 over the season. Their neglect could come back to bite them.
