How to Enable and Disable Automatic Updates on Apple TV
Automatically updating your apps is easy in tvOS. Here’s how to turn the feature on and off.
- Go in Settings
- Scroll to apps
- Click on Automatically update apps to activate the function On or off
- It will be indicate which position it’s in the right of the menu
If you turn off automatic updates, you need to go to the App Store on your Apple TV and update each app individually.
How to Manually Update Apple TV Apps
Although Auto-Update makes it easier and simpler to update your apps, you may want to update your apps manually.
- Go in Settings
- Scroll to apps
- Click on Automatically update apps until he says STOPPED to the right of it
- Go into the App store
- Find the app you want to update
- Select app when you found it
- If there is one Update button, an update is available. If there is one Open buttonno update is available.
- Click on the Update button – if available – and the app will start updating
