Zoom has become a household name during the COVID-19 lockdown, as the majority of people work from home and educational institutions run online classes for students. After being heavily criticized for user privacy, the service rolled out a number of features. One of the useful features is to record Zoom meetings.
Well, allow the host and attendees of a meeting to record the session from the desktop app. The option to record a meeting is present in the meeting screen to the right of the chat. And, participants and hosts can record the meeting based on the settings.
But there are Zoom meetings where the host can restrict meeting recording. In this case, participants cannot record the meeting. However, there is a workaround to record Zoom meetings without host permission on Android, as detailed below.
How to record Zoom meeting without permission on Android
To record Zoom meetings without host permission on Android, you need to install another app called Mobizen from Google Play Store and follow the steps below.
- First of all, install Mobizen screen recording app on your Android device.
- After installation, open the app and skip the 1-month trial.
- Tap the circle and tap save.
- Make some adjustments and allow all dialogs and start.
- Now open the Zoom app and join the meeting you want to record.
- When finished, tap the circle and stop recording. The recorded clip will be saved in your phone’s gallery.
Note that registration on Mobizen must be started before opening the Zoom application. If you start recording after joining the meeting, it may not work as expected. Besides, the screen recording app will not only record the audio of the Zoom meeting, but also the ambient noise around and whatever else you take outside of the meeting.
