How to Connect a Laptop to a Samsung TV Wirelessly
There are several ways to wirelessly connect your laptop to a Samsung TV. Both ways are simple and require no cables. You can follow the method that suits you best. Let’s start with the first method.
Connect using the Samsung Smart View app
Samsung Smart View application is an application designed by Samsung that allows you to mirror your images, audio and video files from your PC screen to your Samsung TV. Follow these steps to wirelessly connect your laptop to the Samsung TV using the app.
- Download the Samsung Smart View for your PC from here.
- Install the app on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC.
- Now connect your Windows laptop as well as your Samsung TV to the same Wifi network.
- Launch the Samsung Smart View application on your PC and click on the connect to tv button.
- You will need to choose your TV from the list of TVs it has detected on the network.
- The Samsung TV will then display a PIN. You must enter it on your laptop.
- All you have to do is click on the Add content and select the files you want to display on the TV tower. These can be audio, video or even documents.
This is one of the easiest methods if you don’t have the HDMI cable with you. Now let’s move on to the second method.
Connect using direct screen mirroring
While the first method is useful when you want to watch or display images, audio and video files, this second method allows you to use your Samsung TV as a secondary display. Follow these steps to find out how.
- Connect your Windows PC and your Samsung TV to the same wifi network.
- Now all you have to do is press the Windows and K keys on your keyboard. Or you can click the Connect button in quick settings.
- The streaming menu will appear on your screen. Just select your Samsung TV from the list and click on it. If it gives an error, try selecting it several times until it says Follow the instructions on your device.
- Allow the prompt on your Samsung TV. Now you can mirror your PC to Samsung TV immediately.
- With this method, you can browse the web, stream your favorite shows, or even just use it to play your favorite video games right away.
- All of this can be done without the need for wires, cables, or even additional hardware.
Sign in using Chrome browser
If you have a presentation or media playing in a browser, you can snap the browser screen to your Samsung Smart TV. Most popular browsers support Cast functionality. Here in this guide, I will share the steps for the Chrome browser, but you can follow the same instructions for other browsers.

- Now open the browser on your PC.
- Tap on three dots present at the top right corner.
- Now press the Cast option available between Print and Search.
- It will now search for devices connected to the same network. Select your Samsung TV.
- Allow the same on your TV and you can mirror your browser to your smart TV.
It’s a great way to wirelessly share your PC screen with your Samsung TV. This method works with almost all brands of TVs equipped with Miracast. But, if your TV doesn’t have Miracast, you can still connect a Google Chromecast device and then easily cast your PC screen to your TV. Again, both devices must be on the same wifi network. Performing all these actions should take you less than two minutes to mirror your PC screen to your Samsung TV.
