Want to add a shortcut of your choice to the macOS Dock on your Mac? Here’s how you do it, and it’s super easy.
Access your shortcuts as quickly as possible by adding them to the Dock in macOS running on your Mac
Shortcuts have been around for a long time and it was only recently that Apple introduced the feature to the Mac. It’s the best way to create automations that would otherwise require a lot of tapping. For example, you can have a certain shortcut to add something to your “reading list” while creating a reminder to catch up with it later – just using a single click or single click. You even run a shortcut using Siri. Super duper practical.
If you’re the type of person who doesn’t want to launch the Shortcuts app to run something or don’t want to summon Siri, you should be happy to know that you can add any shortcut to the Dock in macOS. Today we are going to show you how to do just that.
Tutorial
Step 1. Launch Shortcuts app on your Mac. You must be using Monterey or higher to use the app.
Step 2. Find the shortcut you want to add to the Dock.
Step 3. Once found, right-click on it.
Step 4. Now click Add to Dock.

The shortcut will now appear in the macOS Dock. There’s nothing more to it, except you can access your favorite automation or task with a single click, right from the Dock.

Adding shortcuts to the Dock is a really easy way to get things done. In a situation where you may find yourself running the same shortcut over and over again, adding it to the Dock makes perfect sense so you can access it without playing ninja software with your keyboard, mouse, or voice. A simple click is all it takes to take care of things.
