Hotel Transylvania 4 still set for 2021 debut with Selena Gomez returning
It’s been a while since we’ve heard an update on Sony Pictures’ latest animated sequel. Hotel Transylvania 4, and now Variety is announcing that the Adam Sandler-led film is still on track for release on August 6, 2021, with Selena Gomez officially returning to reprise her role as Mavis. In addition to directing the film, Gomez has now been appointed executive producer on the project.

Hotel Transylvania 4 will be directed by Jennifer Klushka and Derek Drymon from a screenplay written by franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who was previously tied to the helm of the fourth installment after directing the first three films. The film will be produced by Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca with Alice Dewey Goldston as a producer.
The whole cast for the first Hotel Transylvania movies include Adam sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, David Spade, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Asher Blinkoff, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Kathryn Hahn and Jim Gaffigan.

The most recent entry in the series, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, debuted last summer to the tune of $ 167.5 million domestically, which is almost the second film in the series. Worldwide, the film grossed $ 528.5 million, the highest in the franchise which grossed $ 1.36 billion worldwide across all three films.
