In June, we saw the debut of the Honor 50 series phones in China. These are the Honor 50 Pro, the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 SE with the vanilla model which is expected to launch in Europe on October 26 with Google’s mobile services. Now WinFuture reports an Honor 50 Lite phone that should also make its debut on the Old Continent by the end of the month.

Appearance alone tells you this is a rebadged Huawei nova 8i and the leaked spec sheet for the “new” device confirms it. It also raises the question of how independent Honor is from Huawei given the identical build and specifications of both devices.
Honor 50 Lite will ship a 6.67-inch LCD screen with FHD + resolution and a pill-shaped cutout for its 16MP selfie camera. The back brings a circular camera ring with a 64 MP primary shooter alongside an 8 MP ultra-wide snapper and two 2 MP modules for macro photography and depth data.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 SoC takes the helm, aided by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone should start Android 11 with Magic UI 5.0 in addition with Google Mobile Service also present.
Honor 50 Lire would cost around € 300 (€ 50 less than the nova 8i) when it launches later this month. It will be available in black and blue.
