The 2020 New York International Auto Show at Honda will showcase the world debut of its 2021 Odyssey, America’s best-selling minivan ten years in a row. Honda’s “Ultimate Family Vehicle” 2021 version benefits from numerous improvements in style, technology and safety features, including an improved suite of Honda Sensing® driver assistance and safety technologies for all categories, and an innovative industry-standard rear seat reminder system with the vehicle’s CabinWatch® rear camera system.
Major improvements to the Honda Odyssey 2021 include more powerful and efficient LED headlights, a redesigned blackout grille topped with a chrome strip, and a redesigned front panel and fog lamp housings. The new shiny black trim under the rear window, accented by a chrome strip, echoes the new treatment of the grille. Odyssey Elite receives newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels and auto-dimming side mirrors.
Interior modifications include updated climate controls and second-row seatbacks that fold flat for easy removal of the seat. EX and higher versions benefit from new three-color floor mats and illuminated USB ports, while EX-L and higher versions receive redesigned seats with contrasting stitching, electrically adjustable lumbar support for the front passenger seat and pockets second row backrest. Touring and Elite add new piano black trim to the dashboard, doors and front door handles, and the Odyssey Elite at the top of the line receives perforated leather for the first and second row seats, with contrasting seams and piping on all three rows. Elite also has exclusive dashboard trim and second row back pockets.
All 2021 Honda Odyssey versions will come standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of driver assistance and safety technologies, previously standard on EX and higher versions. Honda Sensing® is now enhanced with new features that include adaptive cruise control with low speed tracking and emergency pedestrian braking.
Also new for model year 2021, the Odyssey rear seat reminder system is designed to prompt drivers to check their rear seat before getting out of the vehicle, with an audible alert and a warning message on the screen. of the driver. The Honda Odyssey 2021 for the North American market is manufactured exclusively at the Lincoln, Alabama auto plant, alongside Pilot, Passport and Ridgeline, using parts from national and global sources. Its V6 engine is also made in Alabama, with its 10-speed automatic transmission made exclusively at Honda’s facilities in Tallapoosa, Georgia.
