Australian Matt Jones clocked a 68-2 under par final to win the Honda Classic by five shots in Florida.
The 40-year-old led by three in the final round and extended his advantage to secure his first PGA Tour title since 2014.
“I had a rough time between yesterday and today,” Jones said.
American Brandon Hagy was second on seven under while Jones’ partner of Jones, JB Holmes, went from second to tie for 46th after a nine over 79.
“I’m quite moved – seven years old [between wins]. I just worked hard, ”Jones added.
“I had a tough time but I worked hard with my coach in Australia and it finally paid off.”
Jones, who also led after Matchday 1, started well with birdies in the first and third as he built up an almost unassailable lead, before dropping a shot in the seventh to turn 34.
He threw another in the 11th before birdies in the 12th and 13th to give him the advantage.
Another bogey in the 14th was birdied out in the 16th and he still had enough daylight to see him at home.
