So on that Monday night, when five children needed saving, it was those selfless acts rooted in him since he was the same age that helped him spring into immediate action.
“I needed to find out if anyone was inside and save them,” Bostic said. “I thought about things like this [when I was younger] in case they happen in the future to already have a decision on what I will do, then it didn’t take long for me to run to the back door of the house.

Since that night, Bostic has received endless messages from the media, friends, family, and even complete strangers. Amazed by the amount of support, he realized that the attention he was receiving was giving him a platform he wished he had all his life; a platform where he could inspire change, encouraging acts of kindness not to be something you do on occasion, but to instill in your daily life.
“My opportunity in life and my chance to make a difference in the world in one action,” Bostic said of the doors that have opened for him since that night. “I thought [only celebrities] could get enough people to listen [my story] to create the domino effect that has begun. In the end, my thing is just the word “kindness”. And what should make people [be kind] in every decision they make, there is love. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
