ATLANTA, May 4, 2021 / PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE / – Home Depot®, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, today recognized the hundreds of high school seniors and college / post-secondary students entering the skilled trades by participating in SkillsUSA. National signing day 2021 as a sponsor of the southeast. As part of the celebration and the training program for the company’s trades, Path to Pro, The Home Depot Foundation awarded scholarships to six students entering the skilled trades.

Specifically designed for SkillsUSA students pursuing careers in the building and construction trades, the program has been awarded $ 30,000 in scholarships for the tuition fees of each student in trade schools. The Home Depot Foundation and SkillsUSA selected six winners from the South East region, including:
- Annayeli Dionisio, Columbus Career & College Academy, Whiteville, North Carolina
- Jalen Randolph, Butler County Career Academy, Greenville, Ala.
- Jesse Moran, RIVEROAK Technical College, Live Oak, Florida.
- Kayla Eades, Cross Keys High School, Atlanta, Georgia
- Michael snipes, East Laurens High School, East Dublin, Georgia.
- Zackery Pitchford, Lumpkin County High School, Dahlonega, Georgia.
The Home Depot Foundation continues to build on the advancement of its trades training program, which to date has exposed more than 15,000 people to the skilled trades while certifying more than 5,000 participants in its early years.
