Tottenham’s Heung-min Son should have won the Premier League Player of the Season award against Kevin De Bruyne, according to Gabby Agbonlahor, who adds that the South Korean fits into any team in the world.
De Bruyne was named the division’s Player of the Season after leading Manchester City to the brink of the title – but the outcome of the award has divided opinion.

Son has been in fantastic form this season and could win the Premier League Golden Boot
And Agbonlahor is one of those, believing Liverpool’s Son and Mo Salah should feel bad about missing out on the award.
But above all the Spurs man, who has scored 21 Premier League goals and registered nine assists during the league season, according to the former Aston Villa man who says he ‘would walk into any team of the world”.
“He’s playing in a team that’s not as good as Manchester City and Liverpool so it’s harder for him to get chances,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“So I just think about what Son has done this season, the goals he’s scored – left-footed screamers, right-footed screamers, he can score any type of goal.
“I would have given it to Son myself, but Kevin De Bruyne has been exceptional as well.
“And Salah, his stats speak for themselves – he has the most assists this season, his goals too. You can see the reason why Salah might also feel uncomfortable.

De Bruyne received the division award
He added: “If you put Son in a better team, if he had more chances, if Spurs were higher up the pitch every game like Manchester City and Liverpool.
“I think Son might have scored 25 or 30 goals this season because his finishing is one of the best in the Premier League.
“He gets into any Premier League team and any team in the world. Son, he’s exceptional and Spurs are lucky to have him.
