Danny Dyer has turned out to be a surprise supporter of Artur Beterbiev.
The famous actor and presenter is a huge boxing fan and watched Anthony Yarde challenge the Russian-Canadian champion last weekend.
Yarde made a valiant effort despite losing to Beterbiev
The brutal battle began with an aggressive opener from Beterbiev as he chased Yarde early on.
However, the challenger was smart with his counters and matched his intimidating opponent.
Beterbiev injured Yarde in the fourth round but the Briton weathered the storm before battling to return the favor, stunning Beterbiev in a sensational fifth.
Both men cut each other in the following rounds and continued to exchange heavy artillery.
In the end though, Beterbiev made the difference with a massive shot in the eighth round that knocked Yarde down and saw him knocked down.
He beat the count and tried valiantly to fight back, but was at the end of another assault, so his trainer Tunde Ajayi jumped onto the ring apron to stop the fight.

Beterbiev has the Danny Dyer seal of approval
Dyer told iFL TV: “I watched Anthony Yarde, what a fucking tear it was.
“The other Beterbiev cat, he’s unreal, what a geezer.
“I mean he’s a fighting machine, I don’t see anyone beating him.
“Yarde tried, Yarde proper had it with him and hurt him, but he keeps going. It was a brilliant fight.
To make a joke
Beterbiev is the WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight world champion
Asked what his former EastEnders character Mick Carter would do if Beterbiev wanted a tear up with him in the Queen Vic, Dyer replied: “I should get my baseball bat out from under the bar, but I don’t think that it’d make a difference.
“I could smash it on the canister and it would still walk towards me.
“What an asshole though, I love him, I think he’s a fucking amazing fighter.
“Hollow out for Anthony Yarde, it just wasn’t meant to be. I still think he has a bright future.
